Aikidô
Created in the late 40’s, aikidô is a Japanese martial art that has been adapted to the modern world. Its founder, Morihei UESHIBA (1883-1969), was influenced by the greatest martial art masters of the time.
Aikidô is made of harmless techniques aiming at channeling and controlling the adversary:
- techniques with bare hands against one or several adversaries with or without weapons
- techniques with sword or stick
- focusing and breathing techniques
At Japan Expo Sud
Ligue de Provence Aïkido is waiting for you on the tatami at Japan Expo Sud to show you this martial art with demonstrations. And if you feel brave enough, give it a try!
